I’m a sucker for post-war Tallster fic, and this one is beautiful. I love the build of their relationship, surrounded by this slow return to “normalcy” - or as close to normal as anyone can hope to be after the war. Ben turning to Caleb because he hasn’t been sleeping well since the war is touching, and makes so much sense.

My assignment:

High school flashbacks, which were fun to write, especially the part where Dennis slimes his weirdness everywhere. I restarted this fic four times, so obviously this fandom came super easy to me. Anyway, I might finish one of my abandoned false starts, where Dee writes terrible Kindle porn and Charlie does her social media promotion.

America’s Favorite Fighting Frenchman showed up on Turn, and while I appreciate him making Washington uncomfortable with his continental greeting, this version’s a major downgrade from the Daveed Diggs one. Still, fingers crossed for Hamilton in Season 3.

Between Hamilton and Turn, I’m now about 98% sure that Washington’s primary duty during the Revolutionary War was sighing resignedly as yet another 20-year-old dude got angry on his behalf.
