Rin: I don’t think we’ve ever talked about 2nd-year high school much.
Haruka: Yeah. I think both you and I were just really focused on what’s in front of us at the time.
Rin: Haha, that’s true.
Haruka: I met you again, Rin, at Iwatobi SC that was about to be demolished, and at Samezuka, right?
Rin: That’s right… I didn’t think I’d see you guys at Iwatobi SC, that was closed for construction. And after that, you were frolicking at the Samezuka swimming pool, you and Makoto and Nagisa, too.
Haruka: …that was… it was a long time since I last saw a swimming pool, so I…
Rin: Even though you can see the sea all the time where you live. Speaking of which, when we ran into each other at the island during our training camps, you guys were practising in the sea.
Haruka: It’s hard to swim in the sea because of the waves. The regimen we were doing was the “Desert Island Training Camp Regimen from Hell,” created by the Iwatobi High School Swim Club in the past.
Rin: What on earth it that…oh, come to think of it, Gou said something about it back then. Well, anyway, long-distance swimming improves your stamina, so I guess it’s not so bad?
Haruka: Yeah, that’s right… there was that training camps, and the relay I had with you that was made possible thanks to everyone, and the joint practice after that, and also… what? Why are you staring at my face?
Rin: It’s nothing. …Haru, you become quite talkative when you’re talking about your friends.
Haruka: What do you mean.
Rin: Are you a little embarrassed?
Haruka: I’m not embarrassed.
Rin: Haha. But anyway, to think that the day would come when I can speak to you about those times like this. It kinda feels really strange.
Haruka: “It feels like we’ve really come a long way”…?
