So I’ve been writing a bunch of Cisco/Hartley fics for @hartmonholidays​ Halloween prompt fest and posting them over at AO3. While I’m doing this, I figured I’d cross-post to tumblr whenever I post something over 1000 words, just so everyone has a significant chunk to read when I play catch up. And I did that today! 

Repurposing Ideas, 946 words, G, prompt: decorating, something set after Barry retconned Hartley’s timeline, where Hartley’s stuck in the Pipeline and Cisco’s feeling guilty about it.

The Prospect of Math, 790 words, G, prompt: pranks, Netflix dates that neither of them acknowledges as dates!

Everyone Goes for the Red Ones, 3,683 words, E, prompt: candy, basically an excuse to write porn set in a coat closet. My priorities are great priorities.

i just wrote my first sex scene in two years and i don’t think it’s completely crap! it’s like riding a sexy bicycle. a sexy bicycle where i say ‘oh god are we up to that already?’ to myself and don’t look directly at my screen until the scene is pretty much done.

I’m a sucker for post-war Tallster fic, and this one is beautiful. I love the build of their relationship, surrounded by this slow return to “normalcy” - or as close to normal as anyone can hope to be after the war. Ben turning to Caleb because he hasn’t been sleeping well since the war is touching, and makes so much sense.

Yuletide Roundup

I wrote a lot this year and everything was very well received to my astonishment.

This Fic Has Everything - SNL, Seth/Stefon, 2140 words, Teen and Up for Snacky - This was my assignment and finally gave me an excuse to write Stefon fic, something I’ve intended to do for a few years now. It also gave me the excuse to remind everyone that Anderson Cooper is Gloria Vanderbilt’s son like ten times over.

Don’t Stop, Make It Pop - How to Get Away with Murder, Connor/Asher, 3800 words, Explicit for tricatular - AKA, the fic I wrote to have an excuse to write douchebags acting douchey while pretending to be boyfriends and also, you know, ignore the entire purpose of the show. SO OF COURSE IT WAS MY MOST POPULAR YULETIDE FIC EVER! \o/ lol I honestly love Yuletide the most of all fandom-related things.

The Art of Shutting the Fuck Up  - The Raven Cycle, Adam/Ronan, 2600 words, Explicit for Isis - This originally had a thoughtful title, which two hours before the collection went live, I changed to this. To be honest, I like this one a lot more. Basically just Adam being manipulative while grieving and then they do it. Also, I threw in Cabeswater because who can resist a magical ancient forest?

Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor) - Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Jake/Amy (but in the way that the show is Jake/Amy), 2300 words, General audiences for mardia - I wanted Jake, Amy, and Holt to hold babies, so that’s what I wrote. I also wanted Jake to make stupid jokes, so I also wrote that. It worked out pretty well!

Time Enough, But None to Spare - The Raven Cycle, Blue/Gansey, implied Adam/Ronan, 20,700 words, Teen and up for thenewradical - lol there was a day I made a post to tumblr saying that a treat was turning out longer than my assignment. This was the one I was writing, and I proceeded to add EIGHTEEN THOUSAND MORE WORDS TO IT. Ugh. But this is also the best fic I wrote, in my opinion. It’s all Blue’s POV, kind of what possibly could happen to about the halfway point in book 4, but mostly an excuse to get Blue and Gansey into increasingly awkward situations around all the plot. WHO WRITES A 20,000 WORD TREAT HONESTLY.

Tired of Waiting for You - The Raven Cycle, Ronan & Blue gen, 400 words, Teen and up for shoemaster - My one Madness story and also the only fic to date that I’ve ever written completely on my phone. :D Ronan hanging out in front of Blue’s school because why not?

YEAH SO THAT WAS A LOT OF FIC. Maybe I won’t go ten months without writing anything this year.
