If it had been anyone other than Yamaguchi, Tsukishima would have gone for it a long time ago. After all, with anyone else, what did he have to lose? But the answer with Yamaguchi was a lot, especially knowing the risk wouldn’t pay off, and Tsukishima didn’t feel the way he did about Yamaguchi about anyone else.
