if artistic people are forced to take years of math and science then why don’t sciencey people have to take art and music classes
someone found a real life plot hole
I FUCKING KNOW KNOW IT MAKES ME SO MAD
dude I…
Not to take away from the way art and music are the first classes to go, but I took all of those and kicked ass in music, math, and science. Math and music are totally friends.
We do not speak of me and art.
How do your schools even work? We were forced to take years of art and music classes. Me and pottery man.. we don’t mix.
My school experience was a little off because I went to catholic school for 13 years, but we had art until 9th grade (14 years old) when it became an elective so I never took it again. We had music that whole time, plus another year in high school, and I also took it as an elective all through high school as I was a musical theater nerd on top of being a regular school-loving nerd.
US high school students on a college prep track (so anyone who’s looking to go to university) typically have to take math, science, English, social studies/history, and a foreign language in varying levels. Everything else is an elective.
