She isn’t saying it’s an eating disorder she is saying she is using it as an excuse for why she doesn’t eat :/

Yeah but if you’re out somewhere and there’s food and you’ve already declared yourself a vegan nobody’s going to question why you aren’t eating if it’s not a vegan friendly thing.
And I know it’s from an ed blog because I follow it because it helps me feel better about all the fucked up things that are constantly running through my head.

but that isn’t veganism. That is anorexia disguised as veganism, using it as a mask to seem healthy when in reality this person has a seperate problem. If she thinks she can’t eat because of it, she has no idea what veganism is.
No but that is exactly what she’s saying. She knows she’s anorexic and she uses veganism as a justification to others (and herself to an extent) as to why she doesn’t eat. :/
but that still leads back to my original point that all that mindset does in insult veganism. people have enough misconceptions about it already
lol the biggest problem you see with that is it insults veganism? priorities, dude. no one’s saying your veganism is fake. they’re just saying that people with eds often adopt diets with built in restrictions so they have ready-made excuses to perpetuate their eating disorders.
