I attempted to rank the muscles so check it out, okay?

He’s got baby muscles right now but he could transform in the future. Though he told me that it would cause air resistance so he didn’t want them……
He’s a high schooler so this is normal. If you bulked up a little more I’m sure you’d be more popular kid☆

He may look like a skinny thing but don’t be fooled. Did you see his roundhouse kick? Even his muscles are sly foxes.
Hmph….. Not bad. They’re flexible, strong muscles. And they’re floral…… I hear?!
He’s got some nasty things under his tight-fitting outfit. He’s practically hiding them. Those poor things…… Muscles, come to me.

The producers talk about Joe’s secrets
Uryuu: He’s an Italian chef because he went to study in Italy.
Suzuki: That’s right, Italy is known as the land of the sun. So he has a tattoo of the sun. I never thought his outfit for the “S” would be him naked in just a jacket though (lol). It’s dangerous because you could get hurt but I’m sure that Joe doesn’t care about that.
Uryuu: Out of the adult group I feel like he’s the most adult.
Suzuki: He is the one who cares most about how the people he’s interacting with feel. Cherry blossom is the type to just say whatever he wants, but Joe seems like the type to watch over you from one step behind you. He’s really open minded so I understand why he’s popular with girls.
Uryuu: He isn’t a horrible womanizer, he just like women.
Suzuki: He’s probably nice to old ladies too.
Uryuu: His type is really wide.
Suzuki: There’s a scene where Joe opens up in episode 6 so please look forward to that.

Suzuki: He was originally written to be a lawyer, but when it came time to design him, he ended up wearing Japanese style clothes.
Uryuu: So from there we tried to think of what job he could have that he’d wear kimono everyday…… and since we had already determined he would be an AI skater, he became an AI calligrapher.
Suzuki: He became the character for the most different ideas for him. No one could decide anything and so he just kept getting more, and so in the end Ookouchi just had to do something with all of that (lol).
Uryuu: He was created as a set with Joe, however they became like that north and south pole of a magnet! They’re exact opposites and yet they’re pulled towards each other, they’re constantly fighting and yet inseparable and so it’s like they’re always together.
Suzuki: When they fight, information about how long they’ve really known each other comes out.
Uryuu: They went to kindergarten together so they really are childhood friends.
Suzuki: I’m sure when they were small they got along….. just kidding I think they’ve always been like that.

Q: Normally Sakurayashiki wears glasses, but when he skates as Cherry blossom he doesn’t wear them. Are they fake glasses?
A: They aren’t fake glasses. I think he wears contacts during beefs. In episode 9 there’s a mysterious AI screen that is shown, I think he wears contacts that are able to show that information.
Q: When he was in high school Joe was thinner than he is now, so when did he become so muscular?
A: If he were that much of a gorilla in high school he would have burst out of his uniform. But he is still the one who is the most muscular out of those three even in high school. As for when he became that muscular…… there are an infinite amount of possibilities, so you should all try to imagine it yourself. Of course I think he got the tattoo after he became an adult. If not he wouldn’t have been able to go into the communal baths during the school trip (lol).
Q: Why did Kikuchi carry Reki into the love hotel?
A: That’s something that happened because Ookouchi-san wrote it in the screenplay, so really only Ookouchi-san knows the truth…… My interpretation is that it was close to where the incident happened, and it was a place where they wouldn’t stand out. Kikuchi is someone who only does things he thinks are reasonable, so it’s possible he uses it as a secret hide out often before.
Q: Why does the bed in the love hotel spin?
A: I just wanted to see the Reki spinning on the romantic love hotel bed, personally. For Kikuchi……. he might have made it spin to check his injuries…… (lol).
Q: At the beginning of episode 12, when ADAM is instructing the tailor to make his outfit, for a moment we can’t hear his voice. What did he say there?
A: Well, there are words we decided on but I think it’s more fun for people to imagine it on their own. Everyone, please have fun imagining it ☆
Q: Is the outfit and mask that ADAM wears during the final beef with Langa supposed to be a grim reaper?
A: That’s right. His board is made to look like a coffin and a cross and his mask and his back have bones on them.
Q: In the collection of fail shots in the ending, Cherry blossom only has 1 picture displayed. Is the reason why he’s the only one who doesn’t move because you didn’t want to show him looking uncool?
A: That wasn’t the intention at all (lol). We just thought the punch line was there without it moving. The direction is that having it popping out of the water like that gives it an “I’ll be back” feeling (lol).
Q: In the special ending for episode 11, for ADAM’s fail scene, how was it determined that you’d make it where “when it looks like ADAM is going to fall Kikuchi comes to catch him”?
A: We watched a lot of skate fail videos to find something for him, but since ADAM falls down so hard in the actual story, we thought it might be more fun to make it different. We found a video where the same thing happened where someone lost their board and someone caught them, so we said “this is it!” If Kikuchi had a fail shot I’m sure ADAM would stop him. Since it would be a problem for him if he got hurt (lol).
Q: The next issue of Animage will celebrate our 43rd year. So because of that…… Which character would find anniversaries important?
A: I think it would depend on what kind of anniversary it is…… but the first one that pops to mind is Sakurayashiki. He seems to care about details. And I’m sure he’d get Carla to remember “this happened on this day” for every single thing.
Q: Which character seems the most likely to forget anniversaries?
A: ADAM. I think that things that were important to him he’d remember eternally, but for anniversaries he wasn’t really interested in I think he’d forget. On the other hand, he’d also probably remember things he really hated too. Since he’s very vindictive (lol).

i think villains in general provide better, more epic romances because they're allowed to go to extremes. they're allowed to put their love over the greater good. they're allowed to be selfish. the best a hero can offer you is number two, because their duty comes first. villains, though. villains will burn down the world for a last kiss goodbye.
Yea, sure. Until YOU or people you love are among the victims for someone else’s love and the villains won’t care. Would also like to point out that some villians(Kuvira, for example) have been willing to sacrifice/throw away love interests for their own goals.
idk about you but existing in the real world gives me and my loved ones immunity from the actions of fictional villains. hope you manage to get your family out of star wars.

Literal translation: a praying mantis trying to stop a car

Ryouku is the name of a famous horse and according to legends it was a baby phoenix.
Meaning:
A young boy with amazing talent
Sakurayashiki: Since he’s that talented and strong at that age. He’s very good.

Meaning: Someone who pushes through any difficulties to reach their goal.
Sakurayashiki:
I don’t think it’s a bad thing to improve yourself for the one you love.

Literal translation: Wander freely. To just entrust where you’re walking to your feelings.
Meaning: To live freely
Sakurayashiki: I don’t understand it. Geez, what if there’s a hole in your way….?

Literal Translation: Three in one being
Meaning: Holy trinity
There’s him from the past, the present, and the future, but his true self will never change.

Joe: His is “Uzai gaki”. ( 有財餓鬼 )
Literal Translation: a demon who is so hungry, it will eat everything and do anything to eat it.
Meaning:
a greedy person
Joe: He’s someone who would fall in a hole chasing a runaway onigiri.
