How long did they believe in Santa?

Reki: Until early elementary school. He probably figured it out since he has little sisters. But when he believed he was all excited waiting for Santa and couldn't sleep (lol).

Langa: I can't even imagine it..... I don't know if he even cared to believe or not...... when he was young his father, Oliver, dressed up as Santa and Langa saw him and instantly realized it was him and said "Daddy!" He's very sharp (lol). So before he even believed in him he was raised to think his dad is Santa.

Miya: he probably figured it out from TV and the internet... but from his kind parents he probably believed until he was in elementary school. but he probably told Taka-chan he wasn't real......

Shadow: I can just imagine...... (lol). he probably believed in him when he was little, but he probably found the things he wanted hidden in their closet or saw that there was still a price tag on things, or that things were low quality so he probably figured it out pretty early?

Cherry: I think he'd believe until he just couldn't anymore. Since even with ADAM he believed in him that whole time, I feel like once he decides something he's pretty single minded about it. Of course he doesn't believe anymore, but I'm interested in when he realized it (lol). I think he's the type to have written letters to Santa.

Joe: He probably figured it out early from his classmates telling him. and when he'd tell Sakurayashiki, who was all proud about the presents he got, they'd fight (lol).

ADAM: I don't even know if they did anything that happy. since his father was like that...... He probably never believed in Santa to begin with. Since he never came to him even once.

Tadashi: Now, I think Kikuchi would say "there's no way something like that could exist" but when I look at him when he was young he probably would have purely believed. I think he was pretty loved by his father so he probably believed until around that age.

Q: Before they encountered skating, what did they want for Christmas outside of skate stuff?

Reki: When he was little he probably wanted dinosaur toys and things. When he was in elementary school he probably asked Santa for remote controlled cars and electronics but they were probably too expensive so he would get completely different presents (lol).

Langa: When he was little he probably asked for lots of snacks. He doesn't really want things so he'd probably want food..... He'd get a lot but his mother would probably control how much he got and give him a bit at a time (lol).

Miya: Games! Probably the newest most popular titles. I'm sure that his parents are worried about his eyesight.

Shadow: I think when he was young he was was much more shy and meek so probably board games. I picture him with toys he can play with at home.

Cherry: If he's been into AIs since he was young he probably asked for robot toys. If it were calligraphy related probably brushes......? I've never decided how long he's been into either of them so honestly I don't know!

Joe: Rider toys popular with boys. (TN: like kamen rider) But I don't picture his family being that well off, so just like Reki, I think what he ended up getting was like soccer and basketballs (lol).

ADAM: If he believed in Santa, he'd probably ask for snacks that he was forbidden to eat...... I think he'd ask for forbidden snacks and games that were popular and school that they wouldn't buy for him.

Tadashi: I don't think he'd ask for anything extravagant. He'd probably want books and things? I think when he was young if he got snacks he would have shared them with Ainosuke.

Oct 24, 2021 - Happy Anniversary to the Lupin III anime, which originally aired on this day in Japan 50 years ago in 1971! While I have no new Lupin podcast this month, you can always listen to the 2017 episode I did in celebration of the original manga's 50th anniversary, as well as my episode from the beginning of this year all on Lupin's first 3D animated feature film! (You can also hear my commentary track for episode 101 on the official Lupin III: Part II Collection 3 DVD Set by Discotek Media, if you own it!)

Happy 50th, Lupin!
