Start of the Giant (x)
Kousuke announced on Twitter today that he’s going to be in the next Engeki Haikyuu, Hajimari no Kyojin (Start of the Giant) as Oikawa… but only as pre-recorded video footage. He won’t be on-stage and part of the touring crew. (Understandably, as he’ll still be touring Onmyouji the entire time Engeki is in rehearsals).
But he’s still very happy that he gets to play Oikawa again even in that capacity.

Aoba Johsai in the Start of the Giant (x)
Engeki Haikyuu announced today that the four Aoba Johsai third-years will be featured in the Start of the Giant in pre-recorded footage (not as part of the touring crew). The cast is as it’s been:
Oikawa Tooru - Asuma Kousuke

So you might be thinking why is Bakugou not in this group picture from the Boku No Hero Academia Vol. 3 Light Novel’s Chapter about Iida’s Surprise Birthday party. Well, the reason being so is quite hilarious, and here’s a quick summary as well as a translation of Kirishima’s explanation of why Bakugou isn’t here lol. I’ll translate the entire chapter sometime soon! Enjoy the excerpt for now~
Earlier in the chapter, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Deku are talking in the bathroom while getting dressed after taking a bath about Iida’s surprise birthday party and who is in charge of doing what. Iida then overhears them talking about him and gets curious.
Sometime later, everyone tries to distract Iida from coming to the first floor in case his surprise birthday party gets found out. They then ask Bakugou to help distract Iida by intercepting him in the elevator and not letting him leave the elevator LOL.
Basically what happens is that Iida wants to go to the first floor to study, but Bakugou refuses to let him out of the elevator and says, grudgingly, wouldn’t it be better if you just study in your own room? He then forces Iida to go to the third floor, even though he could hear a commotion going on downstairs. Iida then thinks perhaps it is a good idea to study in his room after all.
Iida then eventually makes his way to the first floor after the preparations are ready and is in for a surprise when everyone brings out a cake to celebrate his birthday! The passage then says this:
Sero smiled widely at Iida’s words.
Kirishima then says disappointingly while scratching his head, “Man, I told Bakugou he should join us in your celebration. But he said he was sleepy and went to bed.”
Iida then recalled his encounter with Bakugou back in the eleveator. So the reason why Bakugou acted that way is because he was trying to distract Iida from going to the first floor to prevent him from seeing the surprise that everyone was preparing.
Iida thought to himself, “Bakugou-kun, you actually cared to help everyone out!”
T/N: BAKUGOU DOES CARE ABOUT HIS 1A CLASSMATES TO HELP THEM DISTRACT IIDA IN ORDER TO SURPRISE HIM. BBY HAS COME SO FAR…10 bucks Kirishima is the one who asked Bakugou to do this for them lol
