Character/costume design sketches from a fantasy AU I was working on a while back, mostly for fun.
Kageyama is a wizard so powerful he can’t cast the most simple spells without overdoing it, ie. if he tried to pull an object towards him it’s more likely it would rocket straight through his hand.
Hinata is a street kid / cat burglar who marks Kageyama as his next target, and ends up incapacitated by a terrified Kageyama who blasts Hinata from the side of his tower, after sensing a massive magical presence nearby.
It eventually becomes clear that Hinata has always had a massive amount of magical power, but due to his life on the streets and lack of training his power naturally started to manifest as unnatural physical abilities, which were of great use to him as a cat burglar.
Eventually Hinata learns to consciously use his skill with Kageyamas help, and in turn helps Kageyama focus his preposterous speed and strength.
