Kimura: I can feel the large impact. Through the previous works and Niconama livestreams, the recordings in which we acted with the character’s feelings and understood “the Ikebukuro feel”, I can proudly say with my chest out that everyone’s rap skills have leveled up. Everyone is amazed by such coolness when they hear it. Also, this time too, I was allowed to write the character raps lyrics for the drama CD. Because I play Ichiro, I have this feeling that “no matter what I want Ikebukuro to win” (laughs). It’s a little hard to restrain myself, but everything born through those efforts are cool lyrics.

Do or Die

A group of men who throw themselves into an all out battle where they fight with piercing lyrics that are more precise than sharp knives and stronger than any poison. The battle will not start with you just watching with your back turned. You have been entrusted with the outcome!

Outside Chuuouku, a no-man-allowed area where the government operates, there are four divisions, Ikebukuro, Yokohama, Shinjuku, and Shibuya. And they have gathered in Chuuouku. Finally, a division match over territories has begun. These men have put their all into this substantial war, a.k.a the official Hypnosis Mic Battle. The first card is Ikebukuro Division’s Buster Bros!!! VS Yokohama Division’s MAD TRIGGER CREW. Yamada Ichiro, known as the boss of Ikebukuro, and his two brothers who are tied together by a deep bond will be fighting in a lyric battle against a trio of badasses - Aohitsugi Samatoki, a member of the yakuza, and his two team members who have been through a great deal of ups and downs in life.

Kiyoko : Oboe

• Takes real good care of it.
  
• She practices at most four days a week, making sure not to strain herself or dirty her instrument. It’s one of the hardest things to play and knows it.
  
• She puts as much passion for volleyball managing into playing. Girl can perform Berio’s Sequenza V to Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin.
  
• Gets annoyed when people think it’s a clarinet.
  

Yachi : Basson

• She practices two days a week, making sure to balance her grades with her bassoon time. She makes sure to mark her music sheets with notes and things she needs to improve on.
  
• She’s not a musical prodigy, but plays pretty good for someone who just picked it up in her first year. Yachi always asks Kiyoko to help her, despite the butterflies in her stomach.
  
• She’s prepared with a first aid kit for all the minor cuts her precious instrument brings.

Sugawara : Flute

• He plays everyday to hone his craft, not wanting to be seen as lacking when compared to others.
  
• He’s surprisingly gentle and softer than usual when he plays. He looks like god-sent angel, until he blares out the wrong note.
  
• He’ll “accidentally” hit his group members when playing his instrument, mouthing sorry but holding back a impish grin.That little shit.

Asahi : Acoustic Guitar

• Prefers to practice in any quiet or secluded place.
  
• He has trouble playing in front of people, getting red faced while half-hazardly strumming a few wrong notes. He practices whenever he needs to calm his nerves down after a stressful day, only knowing a few songs, but all of them soothing.  
  
• If he lets his hair down while playing it, you swear that he looks like a college student heartthrob
  

Daichi : Trumpet

• Practices everyday, but prefers to practice in his home. He’s pressured at school to be musically perfect, so it’s a great place for him to relax and make mistakes.
  
• Plays like a boss and is completely humble™.
  
• Trumpet players get a bad rap for being arrogant a-holes and Daichi breaks that stigma. But is his whole group erupts into a fight, he’ll blow a C sharp and everyone is shook.
  

Ennoshita : Clarinet

• Practices whenever he can.
  
• Puts so much time and effort into how he plays, knowing every technique and scale, but has trouble matching the spirit and ‘wow’ that Yuu and Ryu have.
  
• Gets angry when his friends call him squidward.

Nishinoya : Drums

• Yuu is always in the mood to perform an epic one man solo. He believes every time he plays is a song that the whole school needs to hear.
  
• His never ending stamina means he could play forever.
  
• If he gets angry with his piece, he gnaws on his sticks.

Tanaka: Trombone

• He mostly practices with Yuu or when the band needs him, but not really outside those time frames.
  
• He might be one of the loudest, but one can definitely sense the rhythmic passion in his playing that would Make the grumpy people tap their foot along.
  
• Whenever there’s a minor mistake  when playing with his band, Ryu will bust out that sad trombone sound effect with Yuu laughing alongside him. He swears its for comedic effect.
  

Hinata : Bass Guitar

• He doesn’t practice it as maniacally like his fellow musicians, but a bystander can see the fire in his eyes when he plays on his hand-me-down.
  
• He loves to watch Asahi play on his instrument and mimic it on his. It’s quite adorable with how hard he concentrates with his tongue peeking out.
  
• He needs to stop losing his picks.
  

Kageyama : Violin

• He practices every night, even in his free time. His (endearing) tendency to take care of his nails paired with his intense determination and passion makes him a prodigy.
  
• This instrument is his FCKING child and will snap at anyone in a 5 meter radius who makes an attempt to mess with it.
  
• He always has extra strings and varnish tucked in his case.
  
• He’s secretly Lindsey Stirling’s biggest fanboy.

Tsukishima : Piano

• Has this stubborn mindset that he’s the best in the whole group and surprisingly, he’s almost not wrong. He’s been playing since he was like five so-
  
• Plays when he feels like it. He seems to perform better when he’s challenged or mocked at.
  
• Likes to corrects everybody with the proper musical terms and gets booed at.
  
• Knows how to play the electric keyboard but refuses to let anyone (especially Hinata and Tanaka) know.
  

Yamaguchi : Cello

• Knowing how hard he practices volleyball, it’s no different for his beloved instrument. He plays very nervously at first, making sure his trembling fingers line up to the strings, his stance is uneven, but picks up the pace once he plays for a little bit.
  
• He ALWAYS double checks if everything is in place before he plays it.
  
• His instrument seems more in tune when he plays with Tsuki.
