And while we are on the subject of bad GtN takes, a recent one I ran across was someone in confusion as to why the lesbian element was so emphasized in the branding, because 'it's not relevant to the plot at all.' 1) Fantastic way to say you didn't understand what was happening in the pool scene, or with the conflict over 'Dulcinea', or Harrow vs Gideon's perceptions of the Tridentarii twins, etc, etc and 2) Fantastic way to say you are straight and used to having virtually every protagonist represent your experience.
#straight people don't understand gay people are gay even when they aren't actively engaging in sexual and romantic behavior #gideon is so incredibly deeply outwardly lesbian #specifically butch. her butchness is present on every single page #also queer authors HAVE to overly advertise queer characters because straight people are DENSE when it comes to queer attraction

i think it’s funny when someone acts really angry about something you say online. could be whatever. and you check their profile and go. oh wait. you’re literally 14. nevermind. talking about this with you is like 100% useless. and they go “my age has nothing to do with this” like actually your age has everything to do with this. when you are 14 literally everything is influenced by how fucking 14 years old you are.
