Find Me On Twitter! (yes I know I’m late to the party)
You may have seen a lot of users on tumblr giving out their alternate social media locations recently because of all the blog-deleting craziness (can’t blame them, honestly). While I’m fairly sure my blog is safe and I still plan on using tumblr the same way I’ve always been (so mostly lurking, occasionally reblogging), the whole situation has caused me to cave to peer pressure and give Twitter another try!
You’ll be able to find me @booksong5 on twitter–please be patient with me as I learn my way around using it semi-regularly. ^^ Expect to (hopefully) see me yelling about books, anime (currently airing and otherwise), ships, favorite creators and online friends, upcoming fandom events in my life (Anime Los Angeles!), complaining talking about my WIPs, and random odds and ends (songs I think would make good AMVs, what kind of daemons fictional characters would have, the titles of anime psychology papers I’d write if I had infinite time…). If any of that sounds like a good time to you, I’d love to have you join my tiny circle of followers over there, and will probably follow you back!
Hey everyone, so you know organizations like UNICEF and whatnot that allow you to buy the kind of gifts where you donate mosquito nets or something in a person’s name? Well a lot of those organizations will let you donate vaccines, as it turns out. Like, right now on UNICEF’s site, providing 100 polio vaccines to kids in need is 19 USD. And I’m not saying you should buy it and then send a card to an anti-vax relative saying you’ve provided lifesaving vaccinations in their name, but actually that’s exactly what I’m saying
