Playing Shimizu Kiyoko, I’m Nagao Shizune.  Engeki Haikyuu is my very first stage, and at one time, I was looking forward to seeing whether I would be able to appear on-stage or whether I’d be able to cut my bangs… But more than that, Kiyoko-san had always been there, and I was worried about being able to play her properly.  I had a lot of frustrating thoughts actually.  But, because the staff would support me so kindly, and all the senpai and the teammates on the cast would give me advice, encourage me, and support me… and because everyone came to see us… I was able to do my best up to now.  Thank you so much for everything until today!

Playing Yachi Hitoka, I’m Saitou Ami.  I’m so happy to have been able to encounter such an amazing production, and to have met a girl as wonderful and as beloved as Yachi Hitoka-san, and to be useful within the production with illustrations or notes… I was allowed to draw all of those myself, and I became a part of the show itself outside of acting!  Adding the 44 performances of “The Strongest Team,” I was able to perform in 124 total performances starting from “Summer of Evolution,” and it was really… It really was an amazing series!  I hope to live up to the words, “There’s no reason to not believe that change and growth will come in the future.”*  But, truthfully, I’m really sad right now, and I keep thinking that I don’t want today to be over, and I feel like I’m going to cry, but I want to stand here with a smile!  The time spent here has been a treasure!  Thank you so so much!

*Ami references the Arie Selinger quote that appears in Ch. 188 of Haikyuu, near the end of the match against Shiratorizawa.

LOLOLOL  I’d tweeted something similar, thinking about how Shungo gets to be the one Akaashi that’ll end up working with three different Bokutos (though admittedly he only worked with Kouki for a VERY short time at rehearsals), but I didn’t think to apply them to the toss outcomes lol.  

One Kouki-Bokuto, Takumi-Bokuto, and Haruto-Bokuto.  But how to assign them…  

Not knowing Haruto yet, it’s probably easiest putting him into Situation A where Bokuto scores and everything’s fine.  Between Kouki and Takumi, I thought Takumi getting frustrated was really cute so I wanna put him into Situation C where he gets pouty and upset because he doesn’t get tossed to.  Which puts Kouki into Situation B where he gets a toss but misses lol.

Playing Tanaka Saeko, I’m Sadachi Momoko.  I actually—eh?  (nervous laugh)  My first encounter with Haikyuu was when I watched “Karasuno, Revival!”  As an audience member, I was so shocked to see that a show this amazing existed.  And I was so impressed, that I really wished I could be a boy so that I could be a part of it.  And then after that there were auditions for the female cast, and I was granted the role of the wonderful Saeko-neesan.  To think that I could graduate together with that amazing cast that I once watched from the audience, it feels like a dream.  In Summer of Evolution, or rather, from “Summer of Evolution,” I cheered for Karasuno.  And in “Start of the Giant,” I cheered for Johzenji.  And then!  To be able to cheer for the absolute coolest younger brother, Ryuunosuke, was such a blessing!  Thank you so much!!
