The horrific incident that occurred at around 10:30am on July 18, 2019, had killed and injured our employees, amongst them young people with promising futures.

We are saddened beyond words that young people who aspired to work in the animation industry and gathered from all over Japan, and our employees who had spent many years creating works together, had their futures robbed in such a way. They really were talented and wonderful colleagues and friends. It’s truly a huge loss not only for us but also for our industry.

The details of the incident are as announced by the Fushimi Police Station. Our company has nothing more to say.

We are now dedicating all our efforts to the families and relatives of the injured employees, as well as the families and relatives of the deceased. Taking the circumstances into consideration, we have appointed the following attorney as our media correspondence. For the time being, we ask you to refrain from requesting direct interviews with us.
