SO PRECIOUS!!! <3 I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. All three of them (Hanae, Chiaki & Seii-chan) were so cute and endearing when they tried speaking English. They had translators near them but they still wanted to try. Seii-chan was amazing, he insisted on speaking Eng so many times, you could tell he practiced and wanted to do well, and he did <3. He was so cute when he got excited seeing all the cosplayers in the crowd! Chiaki spoke less Eng than the other two, guess he felt more comfortable speaking in his native language, understandable. Disgust has absolutely no ethical weight. If you are basing your ethical positions on the emotion of disgust you should stop, it is entirely unjustified and leads to a huge amount of harm.

The staff running this place are still a bunch of bigots, no matter how twee they are. And even if they aren't, they're letting a bigot algorithm call the shots on LGBT+ posts, which they're "allowed" to do on account of their hilariously vague nsfw """"policy""""
...and even though they were sued over it before, Supreme Court just made it perfectly legal to keep discriminating against LGBT+ users for-- whatever the hell reason a flesh and blood bigot + a bigot algorithm say they should.
This is an AWFUL website for full-time artists, and as much as I had hopes of this being an eventual landing pad, the treatment I and other artists have suffered at the hands of staff in the name of ~community guidelines~ is unforgivable.
