Nagao Shizune (1st Kiyoko)
Today was at last the Haikyuu finale
Congratulations!  Furudate-sensei, thank you for all your hard work!
I don’t normally read manga, but even for someone like me I was gripped from the first chapter and I still remember crying aloud while reading.
The more I read Haikyuu, the more I liked it, and the club activities just seemed so fun, it really was the springtime of youth.  This was the series that taught me how fun and interesting manga could be.
Although the series has come to an end, I think I’m going to keep reading my Haikyuu volumes over and over again.
After Haikyuu, I was able to experience so many things and meet such precious friends. It is something that’s absolutely essential to my life.
I will love Haikyuu forever.
Thank you so much for all your hard work these past eight and a half years!
Thank you!!

Higashi Takumi (Konoha)
Congratulations to Haikyuu on eight and a half years!
Eight and a half years ago, I was still in middle school. And I was a kid that loved Shounen Jump.  At the same time I also liked sports manga especially, so I remember thinking to myself “Oh, a new volleyball manga. I don’t really know anything about volleyball but it looks interesting!” when I started to read Haikyuu.
As I read, the various characters (starting with Hinata), gradually felt like they were really coming to life, warm and breathing.
And when reading the scenes with matches, my hands would suddenly start sweating, I felt just like I was watching a real match, and I couldn’t help but feel, “Hurry, next page!  Next page!”
The passion that came through from panel to panel was really amazing!
There was all sorts of drama, but I really liked the scenes after a match and seeing the feelings of the losing team and what they’d endured up until then. And then on top of that, to place that burden on the winning team as they advanced…
It really made me think a lot about what if I were to put myself in their shoes.
When I think about it, I came to love volleyball through Haikyuu.
Time passed, and through Engeki Haikyuu, I had the privilege of being involved as Konoha Akinori. I was really surprised when I got the role. Especially that I could appear in a series that I’d always been reading. I really thought it was like a miracle.
And then through Engeki Haikyuu, I felt all the more just how many people love Haikyuu. I think it’s really, really amazing to make something that is so loved by so many people.
Thank you for all the touching moments, courage, and smiles.
And thank you so much for continuing to run for these past eight and a half years. I’m going to reread it over and over again!
Thank you so much for all your hard work!!!!

Takeshi Naoki (Kai)
I’ve made so many friends through Haikyuu.
I’ve been able to experience so much of that springtime of youth.
Volleyball has become a sport I love from the bottom of my heart.
Because the manga is so connected to the anime and the stage play, I was able to be involved in a really wonderful production.

Furudate-sensei, thank you for all your hard work these past eight and a half years! Really, thank you so much.
After encountering Haikyuu, I have made some incredibly delightful friends, and I’ve met so many magnificent people, and I’ve been able to see some really wonderful, beautiful sights. The Haikyuu series, both the manga and the stage play have added such brilliant color to my life. And I think that’s true for a lot of people both in Japan and around the world. So if you’re raising your hand or thinking that you agree with me, please hit like or retweet!  I think sensei will look at this so if there are a lot of people agreeing, he might be happy about that, I think! (laughs)
No but really, I think this has touched so many people and made them happy and excited and, what else… it’s a series that’s so full of motivation and encouragement to make your own life brighter, and for me personally, it’s been really… Of course it’s a shame that it’s over, but… what do I want to say?
I’m going to reread the manga over and over again. And you can rewatch the play over and over again too. Yeah, I want to read it over and over again and relive how I felt in this part or that part… (laughs)
Personally that’s what I want to do.
And for now, I think of how hard you’ve worked, so please take a break and rest.  And then, after you’ve done that, I’d be happy as a fan if I could read another one of your works, sensei.
It’s been a weekly publication for such a long, long time, thank you for your hard work. We wish you well on your new life! (laughs, claps)
Even though I’m restraining myself, we’re all excitedly… (long pause)
Really, thank you so much for your hard work on this series for the past eight and a half years!  Thank you.
I’m looking forward to the next time we meet!

Saiyuki Reload Blast 3 is finally out in Italy and I’m as happy as a monkey with a peanut machine (-quote by Paris Delane)!!!!

Not only we have a beautiful cover with our gorgeous kappa, but please take a moment to appreciate the first pages! They’re simply amazing!

Sanzo’s portrait is just stunning.

What bothers me the most is what is written under the Saiyuki Reload Blast title. They’ve translated it as “You must live. At all costs” in Italian, but I’ve read other versions that were closer in meaning to a “After All, I’m still alive” kind of statement. I’m really curious now about Minekura’s real sentence and meaning.

In my humble opinion the “After all, I’m still alive” suits the Monk better than the Italian one, which is something that Goku would say. But yeah, maybe it’s just a silly thought of mine. Or, on the other hand, it could be a prime example of what it really gets lost in translation.
