That is not what they said in the stream. What they said was that there will be updated animation in every episode from 7 onwords which is what they always do in bluray releases. I just made a post about all of the  volumes…. though I guess I didn’t write the release dates in that post. There is one volume coming out every month.

ADAM and Kikuchi

-How was the relationship between ADAM and Kikuchi created?

Utsumi: ADAM and Kikuchi are the most complex, and so the most difficult. At first I couldn’t decide how to write them…… We gradually built them up as we constructed the story, so I feel like when we got to  the second half we finally had a clear vision of them. First of all, when creating a character like ADAM, you must talk about why they became this way. And so that was how Kikuchi was born, after that we wondered what kind of relationship they would have and it ended up with their current master and servant relationship. There has to be a whole story behind why ADAM came to have that personality, so that was the main focus while creating them. 

-Is there anything you took into consideration while writing them?

Utsumi: What I took into consideration was the tension in his different relationships. ADAM is particularly difficult…… He has his public face of the politician, Shindo Ainosuke, and the “S” entertainer ADAM, but then he also has a side of himself that he only shows Kikuchi that isn’t either of them. He would never spit out “Dog” in contempt like that in his other personalities. But that’s also the time he’s the most himself. ADAM isn’t the protagonist, so the viewers can’t really see all these things displayed out for them so I don’t know how much they will pick up on these things…… In the fragments of the scenes with them you do see, these things slowly become revealed, so I’d like it if you tried watched without missing these things.

-By the way, in the ending “failure collection” the shot where Kikuchi blocked ADAM’s failure with his hand was removed in episode 11 wasn’t it?

Utsumi: ADAM has the dignity of a King and so we couldn’t show a shot of him failing. But I wanted to see it anyway, so in the actual story when ADAM falls in episode 11 released an alternative ending. Seeing his big fall in the actual story was so refreshing, so in the ending we actually made it a sort of irregular fall? For me, seeing that was like a dream come true☆ This ending only shows in episode 11 so I think that makes it all the more special (lol).

Memories of his childhood

Kikuchi reached his hand out and taught a young Ainosuke how to skate. Even though he knew as a child of a servant that it wasn’t good for him to play with him, he couldn’t let go of Ainosuke’s hand when he saw him having so much fun.

A wrong form of love

Ainosuke was born into a political family and was raised by his aunts. Since he was taught that strict discipline was a form of love, he thinks that injuring his opponents though dangerous beefs is an act of love.

Betrayal

Ainosuke thought that Kikuchi, who taught him to skate, was the person who understood him most in the world. That’s why when Kikuchi took his father’s side when he burned his board it hurt him deeply.

ADAM’s dog

Since he betrayed him by taking his father’s side, when his father passed away and Kikuchi became his secretary, Ainosuke treated him hashly. He probably labels Kikuchi as a “dog” because he still hasn’t forgiven him for that betrayal.

Langa
He realized that the reason he didn’t feel excited even when competing against a strong opponent was because Reki wasn’t by his side. Using the board that Reki rebuilt for him, he competed in the final tournament battle and got away from ADAM to become the ultimate winner!

Reki
While he wants to skate at an equal level as Langa, he’s worried about the difference between their natural abilities, and so he distances himself from him for a while. After they make up, he skates in a beef in shadow’s place and was able to be a worthy opponent to ADAM
