Uryuu: He’s an Italian chef because he went to study in Italy.

Suzuki: That’s right, Italy is known as the land of the sun. So he has a tattoo of the sun. I never thought his outfit for the “S” would be him naked in just a jacket though (lol). It’s dangerous because you could get hurt but I’m sure that Joe doesn’t care about that.

Uryuu: Out of the adult group I feel like he’s the most adult.

Suzuki: He is the one who cares most about how the people he’s interacting with feel. Cherry blossom is the type to just say whatever he wants, but Joe seems like the type to watch over you from one step behind you. He’s really open minded so I understand why he’s popular with girls.

Uryuu: He isn’t a horrible womanizer, he just like women.

Suzuki: He’s probably nice to old ladies too.

Uryuu: His type is really wide.

Suzuki: There’s a scene where Joe opens up in episode 6 so please look forward to that.

Suzuki: He was originally written to be a lawyer, but when it came time to design him, he ended up wearing Japanese style clothes.

Uryuu: So from there we tried to think of what job he could have that he’d wear kimono everyday…… and since we had already determined he would be an AI skater, he became an AI calligrapher.

Suzuki: He became the character for the most different ideas for him. No one could decide anything and so he just kept getting more, and so in the end Ookouchi just had to do something with all of that (lol).

Uryuu: He was created as a set with Joe, however they became like that north and south pole of a magnet! They’re exact opposites and yet they’re pulled towards each other, they’re constantly fighting and yet inseparable and so it’s like they’re always together.

Suzuki: When they fight, information about how long they’ve really known each other comes out.

Uryuu: They went to kindergarten together so they really are childhood friends.

Suzuki: I’m sure when they were small they got along….. just kidding I think they’ve always been like that.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before or not, sorry if it was, but what do you think Reki said to Langa in the beginning of 12. episode when Shadow is driving them to the race against Adam. He tells him to win this one and then he says "and after the finals are over" and then it cuts off. I saw some people speculate that this is the race that they have on the end of the episode but I think that race is the promise they made right before Reki went against Adam. Was this mentionied in any QnA maybe, if not, what are your thoughts?

I don’t think they’ve talked about that scene specifically in the interviews.

I could be wrong but I think in episode 11 Langa was telling Reki to win because if Reki won against ADAM, the actual tournament final would be between the two of them. So I don’t think that scene was them planning to skate at the end of the final episode.

So yeah, I agree that the scene of them in the car is them decided to skate against each other after the final.

Q: How do you think he would spend white day?

Ookouchi: He’d definitely give flowers as a return gift. Since he works surrounded by women, I think he’s probably surprisingly used to women. However, unlike Joe, he’s not used to being masculine so I don’t know what would happen if he went on a date. If it was someone he really liked he’d probably be nervous and freeze up.

Q: What do you think he wears to sleep?

Ookouchi: Since he likes cute things, he probably wears some cute pajamas. Like with a flower pattern (lol). His room is decorated with items so he actually lives in a proper room. I think that shadow would be a good husband.

Uryuu: Since he’s an adult I think he’d give people return gifts. He’d get Carla to look up what items are popular…… and things like that. He’d get Carla to decide what they do on their date too and have her say “You must head to the next location in 30 minutes”.

Suzuki: He’d even get her to be the time keeper, right? (lol)

Q: What do you think he wears to sleep?

Uryuu: He’d wear Japanese clothing to sleep too.

Suzuki: And he’d sleep in a tatami floored room in a futon. And I think he’d use Carla to help him get to sleep perfectly. She’d do things like play relaxation music and wake him up at a good time during his sleep cycle.

Uryuu: That’d be perfect!

Ookouchi: I don’t think he has interest in girls right now. But since he’s a famous middle schooler, he probably gets a lot of chocolates from all over the country and he’s probably used to getting them. For a date he’d probably do typical normal things for a middle schooler. I think he’d go to a game center or to a fast food place or go see a movie.

Q: What do you think he wears to sleep?

Ookouchi: I feel like he probably just wears whatever his mother buys for him with no complaint. He might not like them but he doesn’t want to make his mother sad so he just puts them on. He’s a good kid in front of his parents.

I only have the first 4 episodes right now. There’s two episodes in each BD volume. The 3rd BD came out on May 26th but I haven’t gotten it yet. The BD volumes are released once a month around that same time.

The rest will be out:

4 = June 23

5 = July 28

6 = August 25

Cherry does this trick in episode 9.

Casper slide                                       Casper slide (キャスパースライド)

ADAM and Miya both do Casper type tricks. Casper tricks involve flipping the board upside down. ADAM uses the Casper slide in his race against Reki. The slide involves sliding on the board upside down.

Longboard dancing                             Longskate dancing(ロンスケ ダンシング)

ADAM’s skating is based on longboard dancing. There are a LOT of vidoes of people dancing on longboards so go look those up if you’d like to see more.

This was not named in the anime so no Japanese but it happens in the anime so I thought I’d list it anyway lol. ADAM and Reki and Langa all wear gloves to protect their hands when they touch the ground. (I can’t remember if other characters do or not) Longboarders tend to wear these gloves so they can control where they’re going while going fast downhill. Yes there are ones that spark just like they do in the anime.

It seems innocuous enough but there was so much drama about it on twitter?? lol

No I don’t think Utsumi was invalidating tadaai! She was just saying that their feelings about each other are different from each other. They’re special to each other in different ways. Also up until the last ep ADAM was definitely still angry at Tadashi about the board burning etc…. And she was saying that Tadashi never thought he was worthy of being Ainosuke’s friend. He always considered himself a servant who couldn’t be close to him.

…And don’t even get me started on the the comments I’ve gotten about saying that Cherry and Joe weren’t founders :/

Ookouchi: I think he’d probably worry about what to give back to people. He’d worry and worry over it, and then give a bad gift (lol). I don’t think he’d get that much chocolate to begin with, I feel like he’s never gotten chocolate from anyone other than his mother and sisters. I think he’d also worry over dates, and in the end chosing to go with whatever he thinks seems fun. He wouldn’t care if the other person was in a skirt or anything, he’d just say “This is the best!” (lol).

Q: What do you think he wears to sleep?

Ookouchi: I don’t think he wears actual pajamas, he seems like the type to wear a sweatshirt. I think he probably falls asleep while working on things. Reki seems like the type to fall asleep easily. Since he seems like the one who’s least likely to think about anything (lol).

If you don’t know what white day is, it happens on march 14th and it’s a holiday for the boys to give a gift in return for chocolates that girls gave them on valentines day. Valentines day in Japan is all about girls giving chocolates to the boys they like.

Uryuu: I feel like Langa would wear a white t shirt and grey sweatpants…… I think he’d wear light colored casual wear. I also thought he might wear actual pajamas with a pattern on them but I don’t feel like he’d care about them much.
