These scenes in episode 6 were really funny to me.

Langa opens the door to the toilet at the cheap hotel and finds a squat toilet. Lots of foreigners don’t like them because they think they’re awkward to use but they’re common in rural and older buildings in Japan.

And then when he opens the door the the toilet and the fancy place it’s a normal toilet.

Calm down Langa it’s just a squat toilet!

(My school in Japan had all squat toilets so I got pretty used to them when I was living there lol)

A rare bandanaless version. He didn’t even take it off in the ocean, so the reason he wears it less and less after episode 7 is probably because of his unusual state of mind. (Episode director: Hasui Takahiro)

This is a shot of Reki while he’s depressed at his house and unusually without his bandana. I’m a skater too, so I understand that indescribable feeling of when people who started after you learn tricks better than you, and so when I first read this scene in the screenplay I really wanted Reki to try his best. The white day and spring sleeping extra edition (or maybe it’s the actually the true edition!?) has arrived♡ We asked SK8’s true creator, Director Utsumi Hiroko, things we wanted to know about the skater’s white days and about their sleeping habits!

Q: Who sleeps in the worst position?

A: Reki, you can tell from his hair ☆

Q: Who gets to sleep the easiest?

A: Langa, he can fall asleep in 3 seconds.

Q: Who has the most trouble getting to sleep (or is an insomniac)?

A: Sakurayashiki, Miya

Sakurayashiki is high strung so he he probably has Carla sing him lullabys, or rather Kaorubys, to help him sleep. Miya both studies and skates so he’s probably a bit of an insomniac?

Q: Who wears the least to sleep?

A: Nanjou, his top is just called his muscles.

Q: Who wears the thickest clothes to sleep?

A: Miya, Hiromi

It’s great that they’re so well clothed!

Modern fandom went awry when people stopped learning how to avoid content that upsets them and instead starting actively seeking it out.

I mean this in the kindest, most loving way possible, but babes you'll be so much happy when you stop focusing on what other people are doing and instead focus on what you like.

Funimation translated this line to be “the shaft is a bit off” but I wasn’t sure what a shaft meant so I looked it up.

In Japanese the shaft is the thing you put your wheels on (marked in white in the picture)

and in English it is referred to as an axel.
